Diploma in Coaching

Coaching Development’s training programme comprises 20 days (five four-day modules over five months) of in-depth, experiential, face-to-face learning. Our principle training method is learning by doing, coupled with personal exploration. Our purpose is not simply to provide you with a tool bag of powerful techniques and processes. Processes have their place and can be useful in moving us forward in many ways, but the point for us is that essentially, as a coach, you yourself become your principal tool. You will develop the attitudes and learn the skills of a professional coach, and you will have the opportunity to practise until you become proficient. Highly qualified coaches will give you continuing feedback on your developing skills throughout the programme. Our training programmes are limited to 50 students. We tend to attract mature, motivated individuals from a variety of backgrounds. Student learning is led by two trainers and supported by a select group of mentors. This is a strongly experiential course, rich in the demonstration and practice of face-to-face and telephone coaching, both in and between the training modules. It is an original programme that teaches best professional practice and theory, incorporating ICF core competencies and key material from Transactional Analysis, NLP and Person-Centred learning. The course is designed to develop the essential quality of being of a coach – to really get your learning ‘into the muscle’. We think you will find it stimulating, demanding and deeply fulfilling.
